The Finding Your Fears series was researched and developed over the course of two years; and was inspired by an audio-only horror series, drawing on communication, film and psychological theory. Paintings and sculpture reflect facets of shared human anxieties and confront the embodiment of fears drawn from lived experiences. Subjects occupy a space between contemporary realism and abstract fantasy. Rather than offering neat resolutions, paintings insist on holding the viewer’s gaze- refusing to become easily dismissible.
